Activities
In our apartment is a book that tells you about various activities to do in Panama, where they are located and contact information. A good place to look for current and future activities is the country's leading newspaper, La Prensa (www.prensa.com). The following is a list of activities.
- Beaches-There is an island that is a 30 minute ride by boat from Panama City called Taboga that has beautiful beaches and family owned restaurants.
- Movie Theaters-Children's movies are in Spanish and adult movies are in English with Spanish subtitles. The entire first run movies found in the US is found in Panama. The price of movie tickets ranges from $2 to $3.25.
- Museums-History and art museums. The Panama Canal Museum is very well done.
- Restaurants-Every type of food at every price level is served and there are many 5-star restaurants. The average price for five-star entrée is approximately $15.
- Sporting Events-There is professional baseball, basketball, boxing and soccer.
- Shopping-There is high end, medium and low price shopping.
- Water parks-There is two excellent water parks within 30 minutes of our apartment that cost $10 per person.
- Water Sports-Scuba diving and deep sea fishing.
- Yacht Clubs-There are two yacht clubs.
